Fantasy: I just finished reading Alien Art by Gordon R. Dickson, which was wonderful as usual. I don't think I've read a single Dickson that I didn't like, and this was no exception. The main character started out a bit disappointing, I thought, but by the end of the book, he had me hook line and sinker. The plot was very clever, there were good, believable characters, and the whole thing was nicely put together. One thing I really love about Dickson's writing is that you get such a clear image of each character; every person obviously has their own agenda, their own personality, and they aren't going to be confined to typed page, but grow with leaps and bounds in your imagination.
